What influenced you to start windsurfing?
My dad grew up windsurfing in Seattle and around the PNW, so the background was always there. All the old gear he had took up half of the garage practically. I didn't get into sailing until college down in Morro Bay, California. That's where the spark ignited and then visiting back to Portland during the summers, I've been sailing in the Gorge from then on.
Favorite trick? Forward Loop
What’s your pre-ride ritual: Get to the Hatch before other folks, and just watch the wind build and the first few sailors go out.
Favorite Post-Ride Snack: After a session I really love something salty. Typically I'm eating a pickle on the back of my truck.
Life outside of windsurfing?: When I’m not windsurfing I’m likely climbing, hiking with my dog, or taking photos.
