What influenced you to start windsurfing?

I grew up in a coastal community called Åsa located on the west coast of Sweden. A few friends windsurfed and so did my PE teacher. But it wasn't until I moved to Minnesota when I got my hands on my first setup. Loved the sport from then on. Couldn’t handle 5 months of ice covered lakes and moved to the Gorge in 2016.

Favorite trick? Shove it. Can be done in so many different conditions. And once you understand this trick you’ll land em 99% of the time.

What’s your pre-ride ritual: I plan everything around potential wind. iWindsurf will alert me when Hatch reads 15 (usually a signed that sailable wind is approaching). At 18 we can usually freestyle. I like to go early, I'm a pretty useless human being when the wind is up (all I can think of is windsurf).

Favorite Post-Ride Snack: I love ice cream. We have a ongoing joke that when you land a trick you usually don’t land you earn just that… ice cream.

Life outside of windsurfing?: Never-ending house project so my wife won’t get mad when I go windsurfing. I also enjoy walk and hikes with my dog. Filming and taking videos are other hobbies I enjoy.
