Derek Nielsen ups the ante!
Derek Nielsen sets new North American GPS speed record with a GPS timed run peaking at 46.32 knots.
Derek was running a NX 5.4 on a Exocet Warp Speed, with a Boydfin 24 speed fin. Derek comments, "What a day, finally high winds lined up with a low tide in the daylight hours. Never mind the driving rain. The course was good and flat, a little too tight to keep hugging the sandbar, had to max out in the reach then send it into the chop for a peak speed."
